Meet Our Principal
Dr. Kristina Morgan
Hello Fox Families! I am Dr. Kristina Morgan, the Proud Principal of Huntingtowne Farms Elementary School. This year is my 33rd year in education, and I have served at all levels. After teaching 4th and 5th grade for 18 years, I moved to be an Assistant Principal at Ardrey Kell High School, then an Assistant Principal at Southwest Middle School, and have now moved to Huntingtowne Farms, first serving as the Assistant Principal, and now as the Principal. Fun fact - I taught 5th grade at Huntingtowne Farms from 2002 - 2004, and I am so happy to be back at “The Farm”!
I truly believe that education changes lives, and that it is the one thing that no one can take away from you. I love learning new things, and I love school! I earned my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education with a minor in Child Psychology from Belmont Abbey College, and earned my Master’s in School Administration and my Doctorate in Educational Leadership from UNC Charlotte. The more you know, the farther you will go!
My husband of 32 years and I have 2 grown children, 6 cats, and 2 dogs. We love to travel, walk on the beach, go boating, watch movies, tend to our gardens, and spend time with family.
Our staff and students at Huntingtowne Farms are very special and I am proud to serve as their principal. As an administrator, I firmly believe it is my responsibility to support our staff so they in turn have what they need to support our students’ academic, emotional, and social growth. I also believe in consistent communication with families and in building a strong school community. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
We are having a FOXTASTIC year at HFES!
About me
Besides my love for education, my family fills my heart. I am married and have two children. My daughter Tori is a graphic designer and singer/songwriter who graduated from Appalachian State University, and my son David played football for Elon University and will graduate with his MBA from Elon this May. My husband David and I have been married for 30 years and have six cats and two dogs. We love to travel and visit new places, and we enjoy learning new things together. Right now, we are learning line dancing. What fun!
Volunteering
I invite you to participate in our school community as often as you can. Please remember to register as a CMS volunteer. All volunteers must register each year and select Huntingtowne Farms as the site. Please also remember to bring your ID upon entering the school building, as we are working diligently to keep our school safe.
